About Us

1 Hope Foundation

Job security is one of the most important variables when it comes to individuals and families being able to rise up and out of poverty. When incomes are stabilized, there is hope for a better future. Employment offers people the dignity and confidence they need to have faith in themselves and in their own capacity to provide for their families.

Systematic changes take time, but at1 Hope Foundation, we tackle problems head on. We offer job training, financial literacy, basic skills, and vocational guidance. We also offer support for ex-felons who have served their time but who are finding it difficult to be hired. In addition to our vocational services, we help them pursue entrepreneurial opportunities.

We believe that communities are strengthened by residents who are eager and prepared to take the important next steps to fulfill their dreams. We give them the tools to do just that!

  • Hope is always renewable

About Us

1 Hope Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping low-income individuals and familiesemergefrom poverty by helping them qualify for employment though vocational training and related support programs.Headquartered in the State of Florida, we are currently focusinglocally with a goal to expand our services region-wide.

We believe that poverty in a nation that is so wealthy is not only unfortunate, it is unacceptable. We recognize that some of this disparity is due to low-income neighborhoods being under-resourced. Some of it’s due to generational poverty orinferior education opportunities.And included in the mix are ex-felons who continue to face roadblocks to employment even after they have paid their debt to societyand despite theirmarketable skill sets.

All of these reasons are complicated, and we know that systematic change takes time. However, with that in mind, we have decided to go directly to wherever the need is and offer programs that not only offer hope, but also offer solid pathways to a better life through employment.

Our programs include:

  • Vocational training
  • Job readiness skills – including resume and interview workshops
  • Helping ex-felons re-enter the workforce or launch their own entrepreneurial businesses
  • Teaching families how to manage their finances

We also engage volunteers and retired professionals to share their career experiences and teach life skills that will position those in need for success.

Our ultimate goals are:

  • Tohelp families gain financial stability;
  • To disrupt intergenerational poverty;
  • To give ex-felons a chance to regain respect and dignity;
  • To strengthen communities;and
  • To inspire hope where hope has been extinguished.
